Point-In-Time (PIT) Count

Every January

This annual one-day event is a requirement under Federal Law. It is an unduplicated count of people experiencing homelessness. The count provides a snapshot of our homeless population, both sheltered and unsheltered, on a single night to help determine a greater understanding and most importantly - data - to plan local homeless assistance systems, public services, and public awareness of the growing impact of homelessness. The PIT Count takes place in every city in the United States at the end of January.

Let's Get Warm Giveaway

On the same day as the PIT Count, we serve three hot meals to our homeless neighbors, those in-need, our first responders, agency reps and volunteers. We also have free hot showers and goodie bags for our homeless and in-need guests as well as coats and clothing.

Pie Palooza-delayed until Spring 2021

This event happens in the fall and it's ALL ABOUT PIES! It's an afternoon of family fun and includes games, food and a silent auction. The goal of this day is to increase awareness of homelessness in Ellis County and have the public learn about the agencies that serve them. We also use this day to raise funds for one to two of our member organizations. More information, including volunteer opportunities, will be posted later.
